I'd like to buy 26 acres with a smidgen house. Total cost is around $200K. Will FHA do this?
Yes and no. They won't do it with the unimpaired 26 acres, but what I have done in this situation is have the property surveyed and include 5 acres with the dwelling, and then have the seller give you the remaining land for $1.
FHA limits vary from area to area so you'll have to find out what their max is where you charged.

we are attempting to buy a small farm to reach one's majority organic vegetables, and raise poultry and other livestock and we wondering how big the farm has to be to get a farm credit loan. any imfomation would be appreciated, and any warning on how to get started on our little farm would also be appreciated as we are new to this but determined to learn. thank you and have a great day.
I'm a mortgage dealer from Edmonton, Alberta. I have spoken today to farm credit canada. Not sure the lowest size but I know the minimum downpayment is 10% and the interest for a 5 yr term is 6.6% and the responsibility service ratios are 32% GDS and 40% TDS. We are flawed a good amount of land (10acres atleast) mow hard is it too get approved for a diggings loan and land... she has EXCELLENT credit and an EXCELLENT job and I am currently a student again. When I get out we/I are starting a small farm.... Is it antagonistic to get a loan for farmland zoned land?
Loans for over an acre are enigmatic to get. You can get a home loan for a home on one acre the same as other homes so if you have a big enough down payment that would pay for the rest of the land it is indulgent.
A farm is normally more than 10 acres or it isn't worth farming. If you are running an agribusiness you will call a business plan and a farm loan. If you really want to farm don't forget you will need equipment and seeds as well as the training. I knew someone 35 years ago that spent $50K on a tractor but he ended up cultivation about 700 acres.
