Does anyone identify of a calculator that could help me? I have a car loan of 13,600 with a monthly payment of $315, I would like to increase it by $200/ month how much faster will that pay off my loan? FYI 7.5% interest, I am in year 2 of 6 in payment.

I have tried doing that before and the stabilize did not come out the same as what the loan company showed. I found the best and most sure way was just to call the loan company. In some cases they can also come forward you a payoff amount too, if you wish to find that out.

I am irksome to figure out what formula is used when calculating interest rate for a car loan. I have been using I=PRT but it doesn't show up out to what the car loan calculator shows. my Principle is $23,996.16, Interest is 2.9% and Time is 60 months or 5 Years. The Car loan calculator returns $430.11 as monthly payment. But when I commit the formula and do it manually, I get $539.713/month.
This is how I do it. I = {{$23,996.16 x (2.9/100)} x (12/60)} = $139.777/month on interest. $23996.16 / 60month = $399.96
$139.77 + $399.96 = $539.713.
What am I doing off the beam? Please help.
