Secure American Credit Cards For Canadian Citizen?
Nov 09, 2008 by livis | Posted in Credit
I have not been masterful to find any banks that offer secure credit cards. Does anyone have any suggestions, or any personal experiences?
I travel a lot between CA and USA and having an american credit cards will be a lot more easier than carrying moolah all the time...
P.S: I don't have a good credit score either :(
If you don't have an American speak you can't get an American credit card because of the patriot act. Credit card companies need to be able to certify name, address, date of birth and social security number/tax id.
I second the pre-paid cards. Or Traveler's Checks.

I Just Moved To The USA From Canada And I Am Not Able To Get A Credit Card.?
Aug 20, 2007 by margagn | Posted in Credit
Hi all!
I by the skin of one's teeth moved to the USA from Canada and I am not able to get a credit card (in brief, I don't have credit history in the USA). The best present that I had is a secured credit card. I thought that Master Card and/or Visa could take a look at my Canadian FICO to topic an American Credit Card, but it seems impossible. They really don't care about my credit history in Canada... Am I the only one to mask this kind of problem? Considering that I am looking for a non-secured credit card with a $2000 limit, do you have suggestions for me?
Without any credit in the US, you would unquestionably have to start out with a secured card, or a card with an excessive amount of fees. I would suggest a secured card.... Bank of America offers one for $99 with a $500 limit. After you enact a good payment history, they will advance your card to unsecured and increase your credit limit. Credible luck to you and I hope this helps...

Only looking for tidings in Canada,
The first cast doubt is what are your long term goals? If you simply want one card try Wells Fargo bank they have a very genuine secured business credit card.
If your goal is to eventually obtain larger lines of credit or loans I recommend that you
1) open business accounts with both Wells Fargo or Bank of America they both have secured firm credit accounts
2) Open a secured credit card with Wells Fargo and a secured line of credit with Bank of America.
3) Both will be but sources to help build your business credit profile
