WHy Is It Taking 30 Days To Get A Response From An Online Credit Card Application?
Jun 14, 2006 by Joe | Posted in Credit
I applied online yesteray for my first credit card and they said I would get a reply within 30 days. Why does it take so long? Is it because I have no credit and it was a student credit card? Also, I said I had both savings and a checking account but precisely now I only have a savings but will be getting a checking account on Saturday. Is it ok that I said I had both a checkings and a qualifying? Will it make them reject my application? Are they eager to give a credit card to someone like me, a young person likely to give them well-heeled for interest? I am just anxious about the whole thing. I am going to be responsible with it because I am careful with all my money.
also I didn't be sure what they meant by residence when they asked rent or own? do they seriously expect me to pay for rent at this age? So I selected "Other" and put zero paid month;y for my habitation because that is what I pay, I mean I help my mom out sometimes but thats it.
lol iceman, I said I made 6K a year because that is what I made in 2005
well it was labled a disciple credit card....being wary should be expected of them if they think this.
yeah it was CHASE
what is the purpose of advertising apprentice credit cards then?? they are designed for people like me who have no creidt. thanks for not answering my give someone the third degree.
the only affair more dangerous than someone with bad credit is someone with no credit. they are wary of you since you have no established credit, your a student blah blah blah. it takes them awhile to validate your status, residence, job (if you have one), and your account status. if you had established credit then it wouldn;t necessarily take this sustained to approve or deny your application. if you do get this one and are financilly responsible; when you apply for other cards in the future, the reply time will be a lot quicker. basically, once they can pin you down, see you can make payments, you'll get it.
Received pre-approved bid in mail for Chase Visa Platinum credit card, applied online using offer jurisprudence and received email response after submitted:
"We will notify you of your approval prominence in 30 days by U.S. Mail...etc."
Does anyone have any experience with this kind of comeback and what it could mean? Good sign, are they actually considering the application or is it a bad sign for getting approved? Are online credit card normally applications straight away approved or not?
I only have 2 cards, not high limits and good credit score.
I had a correspond to experience with Washington Mutual. They said that a credit card application could be approved in as little as 30 seconds. However, when I applied they told me that a purpose would be sent in the mail. I thought it meant I was declined, but about 2 weeks later I received my card in the mail. Also retain that if you are declined you have the right to receive a free copy of your credit report. They will instruct you on how to have a place this in the letter they send you.
Why Was My Online Credit Card Application Declined?

I am a commentator and want to get a credit card, so I applied for catalog card USA platinum. Which provides Guaranteed Approval with No credit checks, No livelihood verifications, No interest charges, you can be approved even if you have No Credit or Bad Credit. But they declined my application. Can any one know why was they declined my application?
Even promotional offers that sell pre-approval with no credit checks and no job verification still have criteria that must be met prior to approval.
Whenever you are denied credit, the friends must send you a letter with the reason for their decision, so wait for the letter and that will give you the exact as a result of.
I have recently applied for a Citi card online. On the online application it said that I was universal to get a response in about 5 to 7 days or if they needed more information then it could be longer. Two days after I applied, I got a bulletin on my answer machine from a lady saying she was calling from Citibank. Something that she needed to attest to some information about a transaction they received.
Now, is this normal? Do someone call after applying for a credit card online? Have anyone received a call like this before?
As a result of you
