Question About A Lost Credit Card And Credit Score?

I lost a credit card about 6 months ago and got a new one from the bank. When I run my credit description it shows the lost card as lost and the new card on there too as expected. Does it lower your score any by having this on there?

Is It Normal To Be Charged For Replacing A Lost Credit Card?

I reported my visa credit card lost and they provided me with a replacement with a new credit card handful. However, under my current charges, it appears that they have charged me $10. I thought getting a replacement for a lost or stolen credit card was open?

The poster above is correct...I would think that this should be free too...what do you have to lose by requesting that this charge be removed?
If they up to do so, it is time to start considering other options.

DO not close the account. Transfer the equalize and keep it open. No sense in ruining a history of great credit because of $10.00.

Does Replacing A Lost Credit Card Worsen Your Credit Score?

I've lost my card and I am contemplative about getting a replacement. I looked at my bill and there are no charges, so that means that no other person is in possession of it....benefit I think I lost it somewhere around the house. Would a replacement card worsen my credit score?

First fetish, call the credit card company as soon as possible to get them to cancel the credit card so no future charges can be made to it. Getting a replacement card will not strike your credit score, so no worries about it. Just because something hasn't been charged yet doesn't meant it won't upon if you don't cancel the lost card.

What Happens To Auto Debit When You Lost Credit Card?

Hello, I impartial lost my credit card and my atm. I already called my card issuer but I'm a bit worried about the auto debits that are connected to the credit card. What will happen to my auto debits? Once my bank gives a replacement, will they automatically move my auto debit or do i have to go to each company and have them arrange the charging?

Not inexorably (previous responder). You should contact each creditor and give them your new card number. The banks/credit unions have learning of your debits, but do not know the payment arrangements that you have set up with those companies. Some companies may have the capabilities to set them up for you, but the all the companies I have worked for and still exertion for do not offer this. It is better to be safe then sorry which could result in NSF fees.

I lost my credit card and without hesitation canceled it. The bank is sending is sending me a replacement card. The customer service rep over the phone went over the last matter on the credit card before closing it to make sure they where all authorized purchases, which they were. Do I still need to send out that "shark alert" form that comes with the new replacement card even though no unauthorized purchases were made.
