Do I have to have clean credit to be a inventory broker?
I have a clean background But I have a bad credit from over the years. I never had any problems with the Law and I am a sold Man. I am now takinging the series 7 examination . But dont want to wast my time if this will keep me out of working for a Firm.
i can't take it why one would go to the cost and trouble to take the 7 w/o being associated with a firm already.
in fact, i'm not sure the NASD will let you take the examination unless you are associated with a NASD member firm.
if you declared bankruptcy recently, it could be a puzzle. nobody wants to hire a person who is in dire financial straights and thus tempted to do the verboten or unethical. They will dop a credit check to see if you are in too deep.
i suggest you start interviewing now at several major firms - they are all looking for newfangled blood to handle the Boomers who will retire in millions over the next 15 yrs.

iMy relations and I lost our home to foreclosure a year and a half ago,due to some bad financial managing.My mate and I both have 580-600 credit scores no credit cards about 3000 in negative credit.Have tried mortgage co.s to no avail.I am an excavator same co. for 19 yrs,bride is fitness instructor 4yr together 50,000 yr income. need help with cleaning credit and structure credit.i.e. who to contact and what to do?

I want to clean my credit reports, all 3 bureaus, I have been late in 2 mortgage payments this year, bringing my groove to about 530. I need to have it to 620 or more. I have written dispute letters, did not work to translucent entries in reports.

1. I have NO bankruptcies (would that be best?)
2. I have no mortgages on the report anywhere
3. I have had MANY MANY charge offs since 1991, all credit cards, totalling not far off $28,000 since 1991
4. I have one car loan that I NEVER defaulted once on, from 1995-1999
5. All of my credit scars are due to several credit cards in or have gone to collections as just out as 2 years ago. Most from 6 years ago- pages and pages of charge offs/collections (most of which were my take exception to, not of identity theft etc)
6. I have 2 credit cards currently in good standing, one of which I have had for 2 years and am current on ($700 limit, one I at most got recently with a limit of $300)
Please do not need send a link to some credit clean up course for $100 or send me to a website that I have to pay for to get recommendation, just need to know what my legal right is to clean these marks
