Can I Take Out More Student Loan Money Than I Initially Requested On The Application?

I am a new college swat, and I just recently finished requesting loans from Sallie Mae. Today I registered at the college, and looking at the out-and-out price of the classes I signed up for, I realize that I did not request nearly enough money in loans for all the classes I necessary to take through the rest of the 2009 and 2010 school years. Can I request more money even though the loan application is already being processed?

Thanks for the mitigate!

Michael

yes you can, you can either junction the school receiving your funds from sallie mae, or you can call sallie mae directly and request the most amount for your year and credit level.

My Parents Were Denied A Plus Loan. How Do I Apply For More Stafford Loan Money?

My parents were denied for a Mother Plus Loan. My financial aid advisor says that this happens a lot, but I can get an additional $4000 in Stafford loan money to do up for it. I already applied for $5500 in Stafford loans. How do I go apply for the additional $4000?

Vince,
Here is a non-bot reply:
You will need to take your parent's PLUS denial letter to the financial aid office at your educational institution and based off of the denial letter that is how you qualify for the additional $4000.

When I Become A Depandant (in The Eyes Of Fafsa) Will I Qualify For More Loan Money Through The Government?

I already have a Bachelor's gradually, so I can't get grants. I currently am not eligle for very much loan money, and am hoping that once I am considered an independant, I will be eligible for loans up to the ammount of my tutelage...

It sinker depends upon your income (if independent) and/or the income or your parent or guardian (if you are their dependent). As far as FAFSA is worried, becoming independent means that there is no one else besides you that can be held responsible for the costs of your education. Therefore, you could stand to attain out pretty well with government loans if your personal income is less than that of your parents.
I was just succeeding through making this decision myself because, although I am financially independent, FAFSA still considers me my parents' dependent because I am not yet 24 (when you knock over d sell 24 you become an "Adult Student" in the eyes of FAFSA, whatever that means...). I would get much more fiscal aid if I could file independently, but they will not allow me to.
